17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Files First-Degree Murder Charge Against Jeremy Rocha


Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of charges against Jeremy Rocha, 20. Rocha is charged with First-Degree Murder and various other charges related to the fatal shooting of a driver on I-70 in Aurora on June 18, 2022.  

Rocha's charges include:
  • First-Degree Murder (2)
  • Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the First Degree (4)
  • Sentence Enhancer: Crime of Violence
Case number 2022CR001922 was filed in Adams County District Court. Rocha's next court appearance will be on July 27, 2022, at 8:30am. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
