17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Files False Report of Explosives Charges Against Lane Moreau


Brighton, CO -- The District Attorney’s Office announced today the filing of criminal charges against Lane Moreau, 28, related to two alleged bomb threats that were called into the Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center and the Thornton City Pool in Thornton, Colorado on July 21, 2026.  

Moreau is charged with: 

  • False Report of Explosives, Weapons, or Harmful Substances (F5) (2 Counts) 

Case number 2026CR2005 was filed in Adams County District Court. Moreau’s next court appearance is on August 17, 2026, at 9:00am in Division 6. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed offense(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
