17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Files Arson Charges Against Michael Anthony Lopez

Brighton, CO – The District Attorney’s Office announced today the filing of multiple arson charges against Michael Anthony Lopez, 30, related to a recent series of alleged fires in the area of East 16th Avenue and North Norfolk Street in Aurora. 

Lopez is charged with: 

  • Fourth-Degree Arson (F2) (7 Counts)
  • Fourth-Degree Arson (F4) (5 Counts)
  • Second-Degree Arson (F4)
  • Second-Degree Arson (F5)
  • First-Degree Arson (F3)  (2 Counts)

Case number 2025CR3506 was filed in Adams County District Court. Lopez is set to appear in Division R2 at 1:30pm on December 29, 2025. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed offense(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
