17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Files Attempted Murder Charges Against Christopher Campos-Anguiano

Brighton, CO – The District Attorney’s Office announced today the filing of charges against Christopher Campos-Anguiano, 18, related to an alleged shooting that occurred in Aurora on April 12, 2025, near Airport Boulevard and E. Colfax Avenue. 

Campos-Anguiano is charged with: 

  • 1st-Degree Attempted Murder (F2) (2 Counts)
  • 1st-Degree Assault (F3) (2 Counts)
  • 2nd-Degree Assault (F4) (2 Counts)
  • Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender (F5)
  • Reckless Endangerment (M2) (3 Counts)
Case number 2025CR876 was filed in Adams County District Court. Campos-Anguiano's next court appearance is on May 9, 2025, at 1:30pm. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed offense(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
