17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Files Sexual Assault on a Child Charges Against Tate Drane

Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust, and Sexual Assault on a Child charges against Tate Drane, 27. Drane was a school administrator at Mountain Range High School in Westminster at the time of the alleged offenses. 

Drane is charged with: 
  • Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child (F4)
  • Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust (F3)
  • Sexual Assault on a Child (F4)
Case number 2024CR003231 was filed in Adams County District Court. The next court appearance is at 1:30pm in Courtroom 6. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
