17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Files First-Degree Murder Charge Against Gregory Miles

Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of a First-Degree Murder charge and various other charges against 34-year-old Gregory Miles. The charges are related to the fatal shooting of Aisha Quest during a standoff on September 12, 2024, in which a number of rounds were allegedly fired in the area of law enforcement officers and people nearby. The incident occurred on September 12, 2024, at an apartment complex along Central Court in Broomfield. 

Miles is charged with: 
  • First-Degree Murder (F1)
  • First-Degree Attempted Murder (F2) (4 Counts)
  • First-Degree Attempted Murder of a Peace Officer (F2) (18 Counts)
  • Violent Crime Weapon Used (Sentence Enhancer)
Case number 2024CR000406 was filed in Broomfield County District Court. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
