17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Files First-Degree Murder Charge Against Joseph Majewski


Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of charges against Joseph Majewski, 31, for the fatal stabbing of a female victim and the stabbing of a male victim that resulted in serious injuries on January 3, 2022, at a home in Broomfield, Colorado.  

Majewski’s charges include:
 
  • Murder in the First Degree—After Deliberation (F1)
  • Attempted Murder in the First Degree—After Deliberation (F2)
  • Assault in the First Degree (F3)
  • Sentence Enhancer: Crime of Violence—Deadly Weapon
  • Sentence Enhancer: Crime of Violence—Serious Bodily Injury
 
Case number 2022CR000002 was filed in Broomfield County District Court. Majewski’s next scheduled court appearance is on May 6, 2022, at 9:30am.   

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
