17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Files First-Degree Murder Charge Against D'Angelo Trujillo


Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of charges, including First-Degree Murder, Second-Degree Murder, and Aggravated Robbery, against D'Angelo Trujillo, 17, related to his alleged actions during the fatal shooting of a 54-year-old man in Northglenn on March 14, 2022. 

Trujillo's charges include: 
  • First-Degree Murder (F1)
  • Second-Degree Murder (F2)
  • Aggravated Robbery (F3)
  • Possession of a Handgun by a Juvenile (M2)

Case number 2022CR000847 was filed in Adams County District Court. Trujillo's next court appearance is on March 21, 2022, at 8:30am. 


The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
