District Attorney, Community Leaders, and Service Providers to Host Family Justice Center Progress Update During Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Brighton, CO – District Attorney Brian Mason, alongside other elected officials, community leaders and service providers, will host a progress update on the Family Justice Center (FJC) project on Monday, October 27, 2025, highlighting ongoing efforts to better serve survivors of domestic violence in Adams and Broomfield Counties. 

The Family Justice Center is on track to open in 2026, providing a one-stop location where survivors can access a full range of services—legal, housing, counseling, crisis, safety planning and advocacy support—all under one roof. 

During the event, members of the media will hear from those leading the effort, tour the temporary FJC space inside the Adams County Human Services Center in Westminster, and learn more about what’s next as this vital project moves toward opening its doors. 

“Domestic violence impacts one in three women and one in seven men,” said District Attorney Brian Mason. “Domestic violence is a scourge in our community that we must combat. During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I’m proud to show our community what we’re doing to address this enormous problem. The Family Justice Center represents a community united— service providers, community leaders, non-profits, policy makers, victim advocates, law enforcement, all working together—to bring hope, safety, and justice to survivors and their families.”
