17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Charges Four Defendants in Commerce City Shooting That Left Four People Injured


August 28, 2025

Brighton, CO – The District Attorney’s Office announced today the filing of various charges against four individuals related to a shooting that occurred on July 23, 2025, at a convenience store near East 69th Avenue and Kearney Street in Commerce City. Four individuals were wounded as a result of the shooting.  

Jesus Ledezma-Delacruz (2025CR002125) is charged with: 

  • 1st-Degree Attempted Murder (F2) (3 Counts) 

  • 1st-Degree Assault (F3) (3 Counts) 

  • Crime of Violence (Sentence Enhancer) (6 Counts) 

Deandre Winston (2025CR002041) is charged with:  

  • 1st-Degree Attempted Murder (F2) (3 Counts) 

  • 1st-Degree Assault (F3) (3 Counts) 

  • Crime of Violence (Sentence Enhancer) (6 Counts) 

Shawn Trujillo (2025CR002121) is charged with:  

  • 2nd-Degree Attempted Murder (F3) 

  • 1st-Degree Assault (F3) 

  • Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender (F5) 

  • Crime of Violence (Sentence Enhancer) (2 Counts) 

Gage Young (2025CR002122) is charged with:  

  • 2nd-Degree Attempted Murder (F3) 

  • Crime of Violence (Sentence Enhancer) 

All of these cases were filed in Adams County District Court.  
 
The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed offense(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
