17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Files Menacing Charge Against Jason Brake

Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of a Menacing charge against Jason Brake related to an incident that occurred on East 96th Avenue in Commerce City on October 3, 2024, where Brake is alleged to have pointed a weapon at someone while off duty. Brake is a Sergeant with the Denver Police Department. 

Brake is charged with: 
  • Menacing (F5)
Case number 2024CR003268 was filed in Adams County District Court. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
