17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Files Robbery, Kidnapping Charges Against Joseph Chambers

Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery charges against Joseph Chambers, 53, related to alleged incidents that occurred at two nearby businesses in Thornton on April 3, 2024. 

Chambers is charged with:  
  • Second-Degree Kidnapping (F2) (2 Counts)
  • Second-Degree Kidnapping (F3) (2 Counts)
  • Aggravated Robbery (F3) (4 Counts)
  • Invasion of Privacy for Sexual Gratification (M1) (2 Counts)
Case number 2024CR001215 was filed in Adams County District Court. Chambers' next court appearance is on April 24, 2024, at 1:30pm in Courtroom 5.

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
